Neolithic passes $1 million in 2024 progeny earnings

The wire-to-wire victory of Dialithic at Gulfstream Park over the weekend sent Neolithic over the million-dollar mark in progeny earnings for the 2024 season. The 3-year-old filly bred by Joe and Helen Barbazon earned a check for $16,200, and combined with a runner-up finish by Bedrock Birdie at Gulfstream and a third by Ghost Bike at Belterra, Neolithic heads into June with earnings of $1,020,958. At the same time, his career progeny earnings are less than $20,000 away from hitting $4 million.

Coming off a second-place finish in her previous start, Dialithic scored by half a length under Edgar Perez, getting 1 1/16 miles over the turf course in 1:42.21 and paying $13. The $25,000 OBS October yearling became winner No. 24 for Neolithic this year, third best among active Florida sires. She’s 1-1-1 in four tries.
